Sermon Title: The Remedy of Racial Disunity
Sermon Text: Romans 12:1-2
Sermon Purpose: To call the hearer to yield their heart, mind, soul, and body to the truth of God's Word in the area of racial disunity.
Sermon Proposition: There are 3 principles of yielding, that provides the remedy for racial disunity in the church.

1. Yielding is a result of dedication to God. v.1

   • Dedication because of the common mercies. v.1a (Romans 11:17-21, 22-26)

   • Dedication because of the common mission. v.1b (Romans 13:13, 14:7, 15:16; 1 Peter 2:5)

   
   
   

2. Yielding is a result of separation unto God. v.2a (1 John 2:15, Romans 8:29, 1 Corinthians 1:20)
   
   

3. Yielding is a result of transformation by God. v.2b

   • The command of transformation is unquestionable.

   • The concept of transformation is renewal of the mind. (2 Corin. 10:3-6, Proverbs 3:5-6, 7; Romans 12:3-5; Psalm 51:10)

   • The characteristics of transformation are visible. v.2c

   • A transformed mind produces what is good to God.

   • A transformed mind produces what is acceptable to God.

   • A transformed mind produces what is perfect to God. (Romans 14:16-20; 2 Corinthians 13:5)
